Air pollution control

Pulse-jet dust collectors sized for the actual dust stream.

Operating principle

Automatic filter cleaning while the collector remains in service.

A pulse-jet collector separates dust from the process-air stream through fabric filter media. Short compressed-air pulses release accumulated dust from the filter surface into the hopper below.

The collector must be sized around more than airflow alone. Material properties, particle size, dust loading, moisture, temperature, gas composition, available footprint, filter velocity and required emission performance all affect the design.

Design features

No internal moving parts in the filter chamber, reducing common maintenance points.
Filter media selected for acidic, alkaline, humid, abrasive or high-temperature conditions.
Large access doors and practical filter-removal arrangements.
Mild steel, stainless steel or aluminium housing according to the duty.
Weather-protected timer and solenoid components for tropical plant conditions.
Top-removal, round and flat arrangements for specific access or space limitations.

Typical system accessories

Rotary valve, double-flap valve, screw discharge, level switch, vibrator, fluidisation pads, fan, ducting, chimney, differential-pressure indication and electrical control panel.

Technical reference
